Why am I getting a 'callout verification failure' when sending email?

Do you get a 'callout verification failure' when sending email? Then please read below why this is happening.

What is causing this error?

Versio uses the advanced solutions of SpamExperts to combat spam on our webhosting and reseller hosting servers. Emails that are sent from these servers are checked for spam by using advanced algorithms.

One thing that is checked by SpamExperts every time you send an email, is whether the sender email address has been created in DirectAdmin. If the email address that is sending the e-mail does not exist in DirectAdmin, then the email will be blocked and you will get a 'callout verification failure'. Sending emails from this email address will then be blocked for a period of two hours. This block will be remembered for a period of two hours. Even if you create the email address in DirectAdmin, you still have to sit out these two hours before being able to send emails from this email address.

I created the email address in DirectAdmin but am still getting this error?

Wait at least two hours after creating the email address in DirectAdmin and try again. When trying again, you should not get any errors any more.
